Independent practice. Shared support.

Inner Circle Health is bringing together physicians who seek professional independence, practical support for private practice, and a trusted network of medical and surgical colleagues.

Beginning in Ann Arbor, we are developing a concierge health collaborative that combines thoughtfully designed medical spaces, shared administrative infrastructure, and a network of primary care physicians and specialists. Each physician retains an independent practice and authority over clinical decisions while upholding the standards of the Inner Circle collaborative.

We are inviting founding physicians to help shape this collective and explore how their practice might participate.

The physician vision

A setting for independent clinical practice

A strong physician-patient relationship depends on clinical judgment, clear communication, and continuity of care. An independent practice should give physicians the discretion to determine how those principles take form.

Inner Circle is being developed to support that professional autonomy.

Our vision is to make independent practice more sustainable through shared clinical space, administrative services, and operational infrastructure. Physicians can establish or develop their practices alongside colleagues who understand the responsibilities of medical care.

The aim is to give physicians greater discretion over appointment structure, patient volume, and the pace of their clinical work. Each practice can develop an approach that reflects its specialty, patient needs, and the physician’s professional priorities.

Clinical autonomy

Professional independence and clinical autonomy

Physician autonomy is a defining principle of the Inner Circle model.

The collaborative is being designed around independent medical practices supported by shared business services. Each physician retains responsibility for patient selection, clinical decisions, and the care provided. Practices maintain their own identities and bill independently for medical services.

Inner Circle’s role is to provide the infrastructure surrounding clinical care: the physical environment, virtual systems, administrative operations, patient coordination, digital presence, marketing communications, and branding.

The intention is a trusted professional community that supports collaboration while preserving the independence of each practice.

Space and support

Infrastructure for independent practice

Clinical space tailored to your practice

Our planned first location is 2.5 miles west of downtown Ann Arbor.

The vision includes luxury exam rooms and procedure space, with participation options ranging from recurring clinical blocks to a more established presence. Physicians may establish a new practice, expand an existing one, or transition toward a reduced clinical schedule or retirement.

Clinical space and equipment requirements will be considered individually, according to the needs of each specialty and practice.

Concierge support for patient access and coordination

A dedicated concierge team is planned to support scheduling, patient communication, and coordination among participating practices.

Patients would have a familiar point of contact for the practical arrangements surrounding their care. Physicians would receive administrative support for appointments and referrals.

Clinical responsibility remains with the treating physician.

Digital infrastructure and practice visibility

We are developing digital infrastructure for scheduling, communication, and practice operations, alongside a shared website that introduces the physicians and specialties within Inner Circle.

The goal is to support patient access and continuity of communication while giving each practice a distinct professional presence.

Shared resources and transparent participation arrangements

Establishing or expanding a medical practice requires a substantial investment in space, systems, and operational support.

Inner Circle’s shared model is intended to reduce the infrastructure each physician must establish independently. Clinical space, administrative support, and other services would be defined through individual participation arrangements, with clearly stated costs and responsibilities.

Professional relationships

A trusted community of physician peers

Sunlit rocks beside a calm lake and wooded shoreline

Professional familiarity gives physicians greater confidence in the colleagues to whom they refer their patients.

Inner Circle is being built around those relationships. We envision a community where physicians understand one another’s expertise, communicate directly, and support continuity as patients move between specialties.

The collaborative has the potential to support all fields of medicine and surgery. The first phase will focus on plastic surgery and aesthetics, dermatology, women’s wellness and menopause care, urologic and sexual health, men’s health, and preventive medicine and longevity.

Shoshana Ambani Plastic Surgery is a founding practice within the Inner Circle collaborative.

We welcome conversations with physicians in other medical and surgical specialties who share the vision.

Participation will be selective. We seek colleagues whose clinical expertise is matched by a patient-centered approach, responsive communication, and professional warmth. Shared standards will guide access, coordination, and the experience of care across the collaborative.

The patient relationship

A more personal and coordinated patient experience

Patients should have the information and freedom to choose physicians they trust.

The Inner Circle vision centers on direct relationships between patients and their clinicians, supported by concierge coordination. The intention is meaningful clinical dialogue, clarity about recommendations, and assistance connecting with an appropriate specialist when additional expertise is needed.

The proposed model combines a patient concierge membership with medical services provided and billed separately by participating practices.

By sharing operational resources, we aim to make this level of personal attention sustainable for physicians and financially accessible to patients.

Purpose and service

Physician well-being and a commitment to service

Inner Circle’s purpose includes the well-being of its physicians.

We want the operational demands of private practice to leave room for professional fulfillment and life beyond medicine. Physicians should have the support to sustain meaningful clinical work throughout the course of their careers.

This purpose also informs our philanthropic vision. As the collaborative develops, we will create opportunities for participating physicians to contribute through mission work, pro bono care, and service to underserved communities.

Founding physicians can help define how that commitment is expressed in practice.

Our foundation

An Ann Arbor foundation with a broader vision

Our first priority is to establish a strong local collaborative where independent practices work effectively together and patients receive thoughtful, coordinated care.

Over time, we envision extending those relationships through virtual care where appropriate and exploring additional locations.

Its foundation will be the physicians who participate, the standards we establish together, and the professional relationships we build in Ann Arbor.

Founding participation

An invitation to founding physicians

We are inviting founding physicians who share this vision and want to contribute to the development of the collaborative.

Early conversations will explore your specialty, the patients you serve, and the infrastructure that would support your practice. They are also an opportunity to examine the proposed model and discuss clinical space, administrative services, and participation arrangements.

You may be establishing an independent practice, considering a part-time presence in Ann Arbor, expanding an existing practice, or planning a gradual transition toward retirement. We welcome a conversation about how Inner Circle could support your professional goals.

Physician questions

Questions physicians may have

Would I remain independent?

Yes. The proposed model is built around independent medical practices. Physicians retain authority over clinical decisions and responsibility for patient care, with shared non-clinical business and administrative support provided through Inner Circle.

Do I need to practice here full time?

No. The developing model includes flexible, short clinical blocks as well as more substantial space commitments if desired. There will also be a virtual-only option. We can discuss your schedule and specialty requirements as participation arrangements take shape.

Is Inner Circle focused only on aesthetics?

The vision encompasses a broad range of medical and surgical specialties, alongside plastic surgery and aesthetic medicine. We are interested in physicians whose expertise contributes to a considered approach to health and quality of life.

What would participation cost?

Space and service arrangements are being developed and will be data-driven, informed by local and regional fair market value. Costs will be discussed as those arrangements are defined.

What happens after I express interest?

The next step is a private conversation about your practice and the developing collaborative. You can examine the proposed model, discuss your requirements, and consider whether participation is appropriate for your practice.

An inquiry is an expression of interest and does not commit you to joining.
